Fire breaks out at Soarighat polythene factory

A fire broke out at a polythene factory in the capital’s Soarighat area on Thursday morning.

The blaze erupted at the factory at around 10:25am, said Lima Akter, duty officer at the Lalbagh Fire Service and Civil Defence control room.

On information, six firefighting units rushed in and trying to extinguish the fire.

The reason behind the fire could not be known yet, the official said.
