Factory fire in Sunshine North

Fire crews attended a factory fire in Sunshine North on Saturday night.

Crews were called to the Whitehill Avenue factory just after 7pm.

Firefighters initially had trouble gaining access to the 15 metre by 30 metre tilt slab construction factory, but were eventually able access the smoke logged building and located a fire in an industrial press.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and begin salvage works and clear the smoke from the factory at 7.42pm.

Fire damage has been contained to the industrial press, with no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire isn’t suspicious.
