Factory at DEPZ catches fire 

A fire broke out in a factory at Dhaka Export Processing Zone in Savar on Saturday.

The fire started in the factory of Paxar Bangladesh Ltd at 6:50pm.

Seven firefighting units are currently working to douse the flames, said Shahjahan Shikder, Deputy Assistant Director (media cell) of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.

No casualties have been reported so far and the origin of fire is yet to be known, he said.
