Expeditors handles turbine shipment | News

Expeditors-Airfreight

Due to the size and weight of the cargo, combined with the urgency of the shipment, Expeditors moved the turbine using an Antonov aircraft. It was shipped to Doncaster airport in the UK for delivery to the power station site.

Expeditors said: “Our team worked throughout the night to overcome various obstacles, including a sandstorm that closed the city. In the end the move was successful, and the turbine rotor arrived safely and timely to secure much needed power generation capacity in readiness for winter.”
