Ex-employee had lodged reports against factory

IPOH: Two reports were lodged against the management of a factory by the man who crashed his car into the building before he died in a road accident shortly after.

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm A. Asmadi Abdul Aziz said the reports by the deceased centred around his dissatisfaction with the management, whereby he claimed they did not give him his bonus and wage increment.

“This is considered a dispute between the man and his employer.

“The matter will be referred to the Employment Claims Tribunals and Human Resources Ministry, ” ACP Asmadi said when contacted.

The 52-year-old former project manager reportedly crashed his car into the factory and threw a Molotov cocktail into the office premises before walking out of the building.

It was reported that he was then killed in a road accident an hour later on Thursday.

The man was said to have been suspended from work since September and was dismissed recently.

A video, purportedly of the man explaining his predicament, was found to have been uploaded on YouTube.

ACP Asmadi said investigations into the incident at the factory were still ongoing.

“We will record statements from all the parties involved to get to the bottom of it, ” he said.
