James Maloney, former VP of public affairs at American Investment Council, formed public affairs consultancy Tiger Hill Partners to advise senior executives and investors in closely regulated industries. Maloney, previously founder and president of The JHM Group and an executive at Edelman, formed Tiger Hill along with Milan Dalal, an attorney and policy consultant. Tiger Hill provides communications, government relations and research in financial services, tech and healthcare.

Attorney and policy consultant Milan Dalal and financial communications and public affairs executive James Maloney announced today the official launch of Tiger Hill Partners (THP), a consulting firm that specializes in advising senior executives and investors in closely regulated and emergent industries on public affairs solutions.
The firm, which has been operational since November 1, 2019, provides strategic communications, government relations, research, and policy and political risk due diligence solutions in the financial services, technology, and healthcare sectors.
“Washington has an outsized impact on markets both domestically and globally, and there’s a clear need for a sophisticated understanding of how to navigate this ever-changing landscape,” said Dalal. “James and I share the view that it has never been more important for corporations and investors to be proactive in both the policymaking process and public discourse.”
THP has established a client base including alternative asset managers, institutional investors, trade associations, hedge funds, and technology firms.

Maloney was previously the Founder and President of The JHM Group, a New York City-based financial communications and public affairs firm. Earlier, Maloney was a senior member of the Financial Communications and Capital Markets practice at the public relations firm Edelman, and formerly served as Vice President of Public Affairs for the American Investment Council.
Dalal was previously Of Counsel for the law and lobbying firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck (BHFS), where he represented clients in the financial services, technology, telecom, and cybersecurity industries, and continues to advise select BHFS clients as an independent contractor. Earlier, Dalal served in a number of senior congressional staff roles, including staff director of the U.S. Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on Securities, Insurance, and Investment, senior economic advisor to Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), and legislative director for Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY). Before working in government, Dalal practiced law, advising entrepreneurs and companies in private equity and venture capital transactions.
