Espersen CEO: Shipping, logistic costs won’t ease for at least another 12 months

Klaus Nielsen, CEO of Espersen, does not expect shipping and logistic costs to ease, certainly in 2022, and probably not in the first half of 2023 either.

Six weeks ago, Nielsen was more optimistic and saw rates easing a little, but now with the current problems in Shanghai, China — currently 500 container ships are waiting to get into port, he said – any further easing is a long way off.

At least for the next 12 months I don’t see an easing in general on logistic costs.
