Entire Opioid Supply Chain Faces First Trial Test in New York

The whole opioid supply chain is about to go on trial for the first time in New York. The state and many of its cities and counties are targeting a network of major drug manufacturers, distributors, and pharmacies for its role in the nationwide epidemic.

All Responsible Parties: The lawsuit will begin pretrial hearings Friday in New York State Supreme Court unless there’s a last-minute settlement. Plaintiffs’ lawyers will aim to tie distributors such as McKesson and Cardinal Health to drugmakers including Johnson & Johnson and Endo Pharmaceuticals, as well as to CVS, Walgreens, and other pharmacies.
