Elisa buys majority stake in US electronics manufacturing supply chain provider CalcuQuote

Finnish company Elisa said it has acquired a majority stake in CalcuQuote, a US-based supply chain software provider for the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry. CalcuQuote will operate as an independent subsidiary of Elisa and CalcuQuote employees will remain in their roles, with account managers continuing to support existing customers.

The acquisition will enable CalcuQuote to speed up digitising and optimising the EMS supply chain by expanding its global sales team and supporting its product plan including further development of quoting and supply chain management software.

Lasse Nordlund, vice president of industrial software at Elisa, said the operator is continuing its our rapid growth in EMS industrial software. He said CalcuQuote’s established expertise and long-standing customer relationships have given it a strong position in the market. He said Elisa’s industrial products such as Elisa Smart Factory with AI capabilities complement CalcuQuote’s existing software well.

Chintan Sutaria, CalcuQuote’s founder and president, said Elisa’s technological and machine learning expertise aligns with its own long-term strategy. With Elisa’s resources, CalcuQuote will be able to reach new customers and deliver an expanded product line-up.

Alongside its investment in CalcuQuote and the advancement of industrial software, Elisa will continue to execute its overarching growth strategy in international digital services.
