Summary
Logistics startup Superkul has announced the completion of its seed funding round led by venture capitalist East Ventures for an undisclosed amount. It plans to expand its operational fleet, increase the number of employees, and build a mid-mile platform to complete its service portfolio to consumers. Superkul was founded by Cathrine Susilowati Prajitno (CEO), Felix Sutanto (CFO), Chris Wiranata (CTO), and Eunike Yvonne Hanata (Marketing Manager) in 2020. Superkul offers cold chain and chiller-based, last-mile delivery services or the final stage of the delivery process from the distribution point to consumers. Currently, Superkul only covers Jakarta and Bandung and has served 231 clients from the F&B, health, and pharmaceutical sectors.
Superkul’s most recent collaboration is with PT Sekar Bumi Tbk (SKBM) as a mobile store partner. “The huge potential of the cold chain logistics industry in Indonesia has also been accelerated by changes in market behavior due to the pandemic. We believe we can take advantage of the needs and empower the community to grow as a whole,” Superkul co-founder and CEO Cathrine Susilowati Prajitno revealed in an official statement on Thursday.
