GUWAHATI: The district administration of Kamrup Metro has allowed restricted movement of persons residing within containment zones for a limited period over the coming weekend of June 27-28.
The relaxation has been given for people to be able to arrange for essential items as they have already been residing within zones where movement is strictly restricted.

The movement of such persons is allowed on conditions of physical distancing and other COVID-19 precautionary measures.
Meanwhile, replying to the query of a Twitterati who was concerned about those living in Containment Zones and lockdown wards where movement of persons is restricted, Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna said that “(people) will be allowed in Saturday and Sunday to go for collecting essentials.”
