ORLEANS — A man was taken to the hospital after building material fell on him Thursday afternoon, according to an Orleans Fire Department official.
Rescuers were called to Rayber Road at 2:25 p.m. when a man driving a delivery truck became trapped under a pallet, Deputy Chief Geof Deering said.
A load of building material shifted and fell on his foot as the man backed out of the truck with a dolly, Deering said.
It took a team effort of police officers and firefighters to free him, Deering said.
The man was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with a lower leg injury, he said.
