Some of the best food you’ll ever find is tucked away in a small, understated warehouse in Wilmington. Delaware Provision Co. is a sausage smokehouse and salumeria like no other – and after one visit, you’ll realize why this spot has become a local legend.

During these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list to visit at a later date.

If you show up to Delaware Provision Co. for the first time, you’ll immediately notice the line that stretches out the door.

During the holidays or busy times of year, the wait is even longer. Part of the fun is chatting with other shoppers while you wait for your turn to snack.

Why is this smoked meat shop so popular? For years, Delaware Provision Co. served as a wholesaler, providing local businesses and restaurants with top-quality meats.

In 2000, Billy Hayes, Jr. decided to open Delaware Provision Co. to the public, and word quickly spread of this butcher shop serving the best homemade kielbasa anyone’s ever tried.

To this day, foodies from all over flock to Delaware Provision Co. in Wilmington to pick up flavored and smoked kielbasa to serve up with their traditional Polish dinners – or for a backyard party, because you never need an excuse to serve kielbasa!
Pepperoni, chorizo, and a huge selection of sausages accompany kielbasa on the menu. Come on in and pick out something that looks interesting!
Traditional sausages and salumi are available as well. It’s up to you – will you be adventurous, or stick with an old favorite?
There are other gourmet offerings, too, like homemade soup, pierogies, and pasta dishes.
No matter what you pick up, you can’t go wrong! Everything made here is out of this world delicious.

Keep an eye out for the Delaware Provision Co. food truck, too! It’s been spotted around the state, bringing kielbasa and sausages to hungry Delawareans in all three counties.

The Delaware Provision Co. website will help you track down the food site – and you’ll also find the menu, current hours, and more information about this delicious smokehouse.
