Deadly fire at Kajla shoe factory

A deadly fire has broken out at a shoe manufacturing factory in the capital’s Kajla.

The fire originated around 2:30pm on Saturday (March 12).

On information, six firefighting units rushed to the spot and started working to douse the blaze, confirmed Fire service duty officer Rashed Bin Khalid.

The reason behind the fire and the extent of damages in the fire could not be ascertained immediately, he said.
