The supply chain is incredibly complex, he says, and even if we do things like ban the procurement of capabilities from unfriendly nation states, that doesn’t necessarily get us a secure supply chain. Additionally, things like IoT, new devices and a perimeter-less environment elevates the importance of addressing supply chain risks.
He shares that leaders need to have conversations around zero trust and data access — what that looks like laterally — in addition to new countermeasures and defenses to address those concerns.
