Copa Holdings (CPA) Q3 Earnings and Revenues Top Estimates

Copa Holdings (CPA) came out with quarterly earnings of $2.45 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.31 per share. This compares to earnings of $1.36 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 6.06%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this holding company for Panama’s national airline would post earnings of $1.05 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.20, delivering a surprise of 14.29%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times.

Copa Holdings, which belongs to the Zacks Transportation – Airline industry, posted revenues of $708.21 million for the quarter ended September 2019, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 1.03%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $672.41 million. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates two times over the last four quarters.
