
Clyde Training Solutions (CTS) has been awarded a multi-year training contract to deliver maritime safety courses to merchant navy cadets enrolled at the City of Glasgow College. The multi-course training provision will be delivered at CTS’s international maritime, off-shore and renewables training centre in Clydebank and will equip approximately 1000 cadets with skills, knowledge, and industry certifications to embark safely on a professional career at sea.
STCW training courses delivered will include Personal Survival Techniques, Fire Fighting & Fire Prevention including Tanker Fire Fighting, Advanced Fire Fighting and First Aid (Elementary, Medical and Medical on board). Kris McDonald, General Manager, Clyde Training Solutions, said: “It is a great privilege to be entrusted by the City of Glasgow College to ensure cadets receive the very best training to prepare them for a successful and safe career at sea. “The City of Glasgow College has an international reputation for educational excellence in the shipping industry and have training standards that echo our own company ethos of ‘competency beyond compliance’.
