CHUM temporarily closes all food distribution for renovations

DULUTH, MN– A project that’s been in the works since pre-pandemic is coming to light and shutting down CHUM temporarily.

CHUM Food Shelf downtown and west locations will temporarily close for all food distribution services March 17.

The food shelf will be getting a few new updates like flooring, ceiling tiles and new furniture.

CHUM’s Distributive Services Director, Scott Van Daele said he encourages clients to visit other local food shelves during the closure.

The Food Shelf will remain open for donation drop-offs, and volunteer shifts.

Van Daele also says they are working diligently to reopen as soon as possible.
