The Cheesecake Factory plans to expand its Texas footprint by opening a full-service eatery in Corpus Christi in the winter of 2022, adding another option to the area’s dining-out offerings.

The chain of upscale-casual restaurants, which has 220 locations nationwide, will open one in La Palmera near the center’s food court entrance and join more than a dozen eating establishments at the indoor-outdoor shopping and dining venue. It will seat 277 indoors and on a climate-controlled patio.

Although this will be the first Cheesecake Factory in the Coastal Bend, the chain enjoys a significant presence in the Lone Star State with locations in Lubbock, the Houston area, the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Austin, and San Antonio.

The Cheesecake Factory, founded in Beverly Hills in 1978, features an extensive menu of about 250 items, including 35 varieties of cheesecake. Its signature SkinnyLicious menu offers small plates and appetizers of 590 or fewer calories. The company also sells its desserts and baked goods online through The Cheesecake Factory at Home. In 2022, Fortune Magazine rated The Cheesecake Factory one of 100 Best Places to Work For for the ninth year in a row.
