CEZ Distribution Bulgaria signs 3.8 mln euro insurance deal with Generali

SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 9 (SeeNews) – Power utility CEZ Distribution Bulgaria [BUL:3CZ], part of Czech energy group CEZ, said on Monday that it has signed a 7.5 million levs ($4.2 million/3.8 million euro) property insurance contract with local Generali Insurance, a unit of Italy’s Assicurazioni Generali.

Generali Insurance has the right to use local unit of Austrian insurance group UNIQA as a subcontractor for up to 20% of the policies under the agreement, CEZ Distribution Bulgaria said in a notice.

The contract was signed on December 3.

Generali Insurance submitted the sole bid in the tender.

CEZ Distribution Bulgaria operates the power grid in the Sofia region and parts of western and northern Bulgaria.
