Cannabis factory discovered above Swindon kebab shop

POLICE arrested a suspect after discovering another cannabis factory in the town centre.

A strong stench spread along Bridge Street from the flats above Supreme Doner Kebab and lingered near the Fountain.

This discovery came days after officers located and emptied a Regent Street space full of more than 300 cannabis plants. Police also found a cannabis factory in a house in Toothill earlier this week.

A spokesman said: “Officers discovered a cannabis factory in Bridge Street on September 15 at around 12.50pm.

“The site has been made safe but we maintain a presence on the site while enquiries continue.

“A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled Class B drug.”
