Australian Matt Campbell has been retained as a Porsche factory driver amidst changes to the manufacturer’s roster for 2021.

The Warwick-native who helped Porsche secure the manufacturers’ title in the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC) for the second consecutive year, will continue despite the German marque reducing its factory race program next year.
Porsche will continue run two factory-run Porsche 911 RSR’s in the FIA World Endurance Championship with regulars Gianmaria Bruni, Richard Lietz, Kévin Estre to be joined by Neel Jani next season.
While Porsche’s Formula E programme will once again be spearheaded by André Lotterer and Pascal Wehrlein.
Campbell’s exact race program is yet to be officially confirmed however it is expected that he will continue to be lent out to Porsche customer teams across WEC, IGTC and IMSA having finished on the podium at the Daytona 24, Spa 24 Hour and the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year.
Amongst the key changes, Earl Bamber departs the works driver programme. The Kiwi driver will continue his association with the brand however having recently announced his team will run a program in the Australian Porsche Carrera Cup series next season as well competing in a customer run Porsche GT3 R in the IMSA SportsCar Championship alongside Laurens Vanthoor.
2018 Australian Porsche Carrera Cup Champion Jaxon Evans also ends his official tenure as a Porsche Junior but will continue his international career with Porsche customer teams.
