Cambodia’s CDC approves new leather product unit, garment factory



The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) recently approved two new industrial projects worth more than $14 million. Milanna Leatherware Mfy (Cambodia) Co. Ltd. will invest in a factory with an investment of $9.2 million to produce belts and bags of all kinds, while Best Beauty Company Limited Garment will start a garment unit with an investment of $5.1 million.

CDC made the announcement on its official Facebook page.

The leather products factory will be located in Krabei Tram village, Chung Ruk commune, Kong Pisey district, Kampong Speu, and is expected to create 1,414 jobs.

The garment factory will be located in Prek Tapring village, Sangkat Sitbo, Takhmao city, Kandal, and is likely to create 2,236 jobs.
