BYLC Unveils First Cohorst of YEC Startups

Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), the leadership institute headquartered in Dhaka, has formally unveiled the inaugural cohort of startups from its first BYLC Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC). 

The five startups selected for the first cohort of the program come from diverse sectors including agriculture, education, manufacturing, and online marketplace for event services. 

The selected startups will each receive an equity investment of BDT 800,000, an incubation program for six months, co-working space for one year, networking and mentorship opportunities and an opportunity to receive a scale-up funding of BDT 1,500,000. 

YEC first cohort startups are: 

EcoWraps: a production and packaging company of cellulose-based biodegradable biopolymer bags


Tinkers: a producer of educational and interactive learning materials and toys


Agri Mushroom and Multi-farming: an agri-tech company around mushroom and multi-farming 


Selvice: an online marketing platform for event logistics


Digigrow: a cloud-based multi-channel platform for farmers, independent investors, and partnered retailers.
