He was speaking at “Sainik Samman Samaroh” held at Chowki village in the Sujanpur assembly segment of Hamirpur district
Anurag said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi considers the army as his family and takes quick decisions on every issue related to soldiers.
“He is the only Prime Minister who celebrates Diwali with soldiers every year by visiting the border,” he said.

The Union mnister said that the Modi-led government has taken many historic decisions to strengthen the country’s armed forces and provided them modern weapons.
“The PM has given special emphasis on the manufacture of weapons in the country under the Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign,” he said.
So far, 22 defence factories have been set up across the country. A bulletproof vest manufacturing factory will also be set up in Himachal,” he added.
The Union minister said that this initiative of the Prime Minister will not only increase India’s military strength but also make the country financially strong. He said that the BJP governments have always given the highest respect to the soldiers.
Referring to the contribution of Himachal in the army, Anurag said that the population of the hill state is only half percent of the total population of the country, but it makes up 4% of the Indian Armed Forces.
He said that brave soldiers of Himachal have received more than 1,100 gallantry awards in various wars and military operations.
On this occasion, former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal also saluted the martyrs, ex-servicemen, serving soldiers and their families and said that the country can never forget their contribution.
