Dr Hunter’s appointment follows the head of KPMG’s Australian Economics and Tax Centre Grant Wardell-Johnson moving to a global role at the firm in the UK.
Data analytics specialist Deepak Pillai, 35, is also joining KPMG as a forensic partner.
His most recent role was leading big six law firm Clayton Utz’s forensic data analytics team, and he has also worked at EY and Deloitte.
