A huge new warehouse on the way south of Dallas will add to that area’s growing industrial base.
USAA Real Estate and Seefried Industrial Properties have filed plans for the big distribution building to be constructed at 1305 Cleveland Road in Hutchins.
The building is the second phase of the Interchange 20/45 business park near the southeast corner of Interstates 20 and 45.
The more than 800,000-square-foot warehouse is being built next door to FedEx’s ground transportation depot. It’s the second of four buildings planned in the more than 45-acre industrial development.
Commercial property firm CBRE is leasing the project, which is set to open later this year.
Seefried is the industrial development partner for San Antonio-based USAA Real Estate and has done several projects in multiple markets.
Southern Dallas County is one of North Texas’ busiest industrial markets with more than 3.4 million square feet of new buildings completed in 2019.
For all of North Texas, almost 24 million of warehouse space was being built at the start of 2020 – one of the largest totals in the country.
