There has been a “rapid expansion” in demand for onboard courier (OBC) services, according to aerospace logistics firm B&H Worldwide.
The company said that it experienced a “huge rise” in requests for OBC services at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic and this has continued to gather pace in the last few months as an alternative to traditional airfreight movements which face capacity constraints.
“Customers are turning to OBC as a reliable means of delivering their time critical aircraft-on-the-ground shipments,” the company said.
To cater to this surging demand in OBC requirements, B&H Worldwide is enhancing its services to key locations including the US, Latin America, Asia and intra-Europe.
Newly appointed product service manager Gustavo Mundel will be responsible for leading the development.
“This is such an exciting time to be joining the global team as we seek to further extend our global reach with an even greater range of products,” said Mundel.
