BGMEA and Overseas Chinese Association in Bangladesh willing to collaborate on supply chain management training

Bangladesh’s apex garment makers’ body, the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and OCAIB or the Overseas Chinese Association in Bangladesh have expressed willingness to collaborate in providing training to mid-level management in the apparel sector with the aim to improve their knowledge and skills in supply chain management.

This was claimed by media reports, which added the interest in this regard was expressed when founding President of OCAIB Leo Zhuang called on BGMEA President Faruque Hassan at the BGMEA office in Dhaka recently, during which was also present BGMEA Vice President Md. Nasir Uddin, amongst others.

According to a press release issued in this direction, the BGMEA President, reportedly, added the garment makers’ body was willing to join hands with OCAIB to further improve the skills of mid-level managers in managing supply chain which is a key factor in determining the success of apparel business in the competitive business landscape.
