Athens restaurant roundup: Fourth of July closures, Pizza Factory opens and refreshing summertime drinks | Eat & Drink

Many restaurants are closed the week of July 4 for summer break. Here’s this week’s roundup of restaurant news. 

Fourth of July closures

Several restaurants are taking a summer break this coming week. Marti’s at Midday will be closed July 2-10, while ZZ & Simone’s will be closed July 2-8. Independent Baking Co. will be closed July 3-11. The National will be closed July 1-6, and their lunch service will return July 13. Five & Ten will be closed just for a few days on July 2-4. 

Pizza Factory now open

Pizza Factory, a pizza chain that started in California, just opened its first East Coast location within the Beechwood Shopping Center. The restaurant offers a variety of specialty pizzas as well as salads, calzones, pastas and sandwiches.

Figment Kombucha collaborates with ZZ & Simone’s

Now at ZZ & Simone’s, an Italian-style restaurant located on Lumpkin Street, customers can order Figment Kombucha’s “Napoli”, an Italian-style aperitivo.

Molly’s Coffee Co. introduces a lemonade

Molly’s Coffee Co., which has been in Athens for almost two years now, introduces “Your Way Lemonade.” Customers can ask for cherry, honey lavender or coconut to be added to the housemade lemonade. The coffee shop also offers “Kissed by a Rose” sparkling lemonade and iced coffees for cooling off in the summer heat.
