Around Rs. 1082 crore paid to over 41 thousand farmers for procurement of paddy on MSP: Govt

Government today said that around Rs. 1082 crore were paid to over 41 thousand farmers for procurement of paddy on Minimum Support Price.

 

Consumer Affairs Ministry said, as on Saturday, cumulative procurement of Paddy in this Kharif Marketing Season is over five lakh 73 thousand tonnes.

 

Paddy procurement for 2020-21 has commenced across the procuring States.

 

The Procurement of seed cotton, Kapas during Kharif Marketing Season 2020-21 has started from 1st October.

 

As on Saturday, Cotton Corporation of India has procured a cumulative quantity of 147 bales under Minimum Support Price for a value of around 41 Lakh benefitting 29 farmers.
