Amazon Slams Antitrust Lawsuit Over Shipping, Logistics Services

Amazon.com Inc. fired back at federal antitrust litigation over its shipping practices, blasting a consumer lawsuit filed in Seattle over claims that the tech giant gained a dominant market position by rigging its algorithms to penalize merchants not using its overpriced “fulfillment” services.

The company defended its policies Monday, asking Judge Ricardo S. Martinez to toss the proposed class action from the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. Consumers should be thanking Amazon, not suing it, for its “world-class logistics network,” the filing said.
