Amazon Seeks Large Melville Warehouse: Report

MELVILLE, NY — Amazon, an e-commerce giant, wants to open a warehouse in Melville, Newsday reported. The facility would be at the Walt Whitman Road buildings that were previously used by Rubie’s Costume Co., according to documents. The 309,500-square-foot distribution center would be used to make “last-mile” deliveries to customers.
