GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One of the workers at a local Amazon distribution center has tested positive for the coronavirus.

The company notified all other workers at its Gaines Township location of the case, according to Timothy Carter, an Amazon spokesperson, today.

Amazon workers with the virus receive up to two weeks of pay while in quarantine, according to Carter.

Any co-workers who had close contact with the person are being asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.

The distribution center has about 1,000 employees.
