Distribution of devices for Wake students to use for virtual learning begins Monday.
School officials said that, although distribution begins Monday, most devices will not be ready to be picked up then.
Those who indicated they needed devices in the recent request survey will get a notification by email when the device is ready to be picked up.
Officials ask that parents and students wait until their assigned pick-up date to go to a distribution site. If you do go to a distribution sight on a date not assigned to you, there will not be any devices available for you, according to the Wake County Public School System.
Families will be notified three days before their pick-up date. Devices can be picked up at any time on the assigned day.
WCPSS said on or after your pick-up date, families will be able to get all of the requested devices for all of the students in your household at the same time.
The notification email will also include information on distribution locations, hours and pick-up procedures.
Officials said to contact your school if you need devices but did not submit a survey.
WCPSS said it is processing more than 38,000 requests for devices.
