Two Englewood Organizations Receive Generous Donations

Seoul Trading Asian Grocery Wholesaler, a leading distributor of Asian food products in the United States and Canada that is committed to serving the community, has donated $20,000 each to two Englewood organizations. Elks Ideal Lodge #470, whose doors were recently closed, was given $10,000 to continue its mission of supporting civic organizations, which it has been doing for nearly a century. The Kesher Synagogue was also given $10,000 by Seoul Trading to preserve the Taylor Bliss House, a reminder of Englewood’s historic heritage which is listed on the Bergen County Historical Sites Survey, as well as with the Historic Preservation Office of New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Places. Both the Englewood Historical Society and Kesher Synagogue are hoping to move the house to 500 Liberty Road, the former property of Eleanor Harvey, a founder of the Englewood Historical Society, who willed her property to the city in 2007.
