Toys to see slight price increase despite supply chain improvements

Toy review company Toys, Tots, Pets & More held their spring showcase and revealed some changes in the toy industry.

A big thing to brace for is prices. Chief Executive Officer and Editor in Chief at TTPM Jim Silver says while supply chain issues in the toy industry have gotten better, prices for toys will be about 5% or 10% higher.

“Something that costs $18 might go to $19.99 just because the cost of oils and resins,” Silver says.

Something to keep your eye out for are not only the popular toys, but the ones that haven’t even hit stores yet.

“I always like to say, if you see something that you know is going to be hot, that is publicized that is going to be hot, buy it,” Silver adds.
