Shakti Kapoor’s son tests positive for drug use

The Halasuru police raided a star hotel in Central Bengaluru and detained 35 people over having a drug party organised at The Park Hotel which falls under the Halasuru police station limits.

Police sources said out the 35, include the son of Bollywood Actor Shakti Kapoor – Siddhanth Kapoor (38) who was a DJ at the party, Akhil Soni (28), a business manager from a reputed IT firm (Mindtree), Harjot Singh (28), an operational head of a logistics startup, Hani Rafiq (25) heading a digital marketing firm, and Akhil (23), a freelance photographer.

According to the police sources, the five have been subjected to medical examination and confirmed by the police that they were using drugs. On Monday evening, they were again taken for a comprehensive medical examination. Just before the raid was to begin, a few of the people in the party were even tipped off that raids were going to happen and they left early, the police said.

“However, at present we have five of them in custody and we are in the process of subjecting them to medical examination while retrieving information about the sources of the drugs used in the party,” an officer said.
