Supply chain disruptions affecting local pet carrier inventory at humane society

“It’s something that you are going to need anyways if you are adopting a cat because you are going to want to make sure you have a way to safely transport them to vet or traveling with them,” Ericka Goering, Director of Marketing and Communications for the Kansas Human Society said.

The Kansas Humane Society says the winter is the slowest time in the year, as far as cats in their care, but in the spring that number can skyrocket and they are hoping to be as best prepared as they can.

“Right now, we are asking adopters who are interested in taking a cat home to go ahead and bring a pet carrier with them when they come in to do the adoption,” she said. “So we can make sure that pet gets home safely with them.”
