12,000 Bottles Of Illicit Liquor Recovered From Tile Factory | Ludhiana News

Ludhiana: The Ludhiana rural police recovered 1,050 cartons of illicit liquor, which contained 12,000 bottles, from a tile factory on Hambran-Bhundari road on Monday night. The police said the factory was closed and being used by the owner for keeping liquor.
Sidhwan Bet police have registered a case under the Excise Act against factory owner Balka Singh of Detwal village, Jatinder Singh and Bhagwant Singh, both of Bhumal village.
Inspector Prem Singh, Ludhiana rural police special branch in-charge, said, “On a tip-off, the special branch and Jagraon CIA staff conducted a raid at the factory and recovered 1,050 cartons of Haryana-made liquor. The factory has been sealed. None of the three accused have any criminal past. They are being traced.”
The accused had fled before police reached the spot.
