Indiana Man Sentenced to 151 Months for Cocaine Distribution

HAMMOND, Ind. – Alfred A. Cooke, Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration Regional Office in Merrillville, Indiana, and U.S. Attorney Clifford D. Johnson of the Northern District of Indiana announced that Odell Lucas, 44, of Schererville, Indiana, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge James Moody after pleading guilty to one count of distribution of crack cocaine.

Lucas was sentenced to 151 months in prison and two years of supervised release.

According to documents in the case, Lucas sold crack cocaine to a confidential informant on four separate occasions throughout January and February 2019.

This case was investigated by the DEA and the Porter County [Indiana] Drug Taskforce.  This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Caitlin M. Padula.
