Workshop on supply chain resilience training held

The Programming Division of the Planning Commission is going to introduce training course on Supply Chain Resilience for business sector with the assistance of National Resilience Programme.

This training course will contribute towards capacity building of the investors on resilient supply chain mechanism to minimise disruption due to disaster and restoration of production within a short time. 

In this connection, contents of training module on Supply Chain Resilience were shared in a workshop on Monday in planning commission.

Mohammad Jainul Bari, secretary of planning division joined the workshop as chief guest and Khandker  Ahsan Hossain, chief of Programming Division chaired the session.

Nurun Nahar, Joint Chief and Project Director, NRP moderated the workshop.

The module will cover supply chain risk management in disaster and pandemic context, demand management and its forecast techniques, emergency procurement, alternative sourcing and logistic, inventory and transportation.

A total of 30 officials from public and private sector including the representatives from business association participated in the workshop. 

The NRP and Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry agreed for piloting of the training in Chittagong.  NRP is funded by Sida and FCDO of UK and technically supported by UNDP.
