Two days after the death of a woman worker in an accident at a factory, local residents, including kin of the deceased, demonstrated here on Friday by keeping her body on the road in the NIT area.
The blockade was lifted after about an hour after the intervention of police officials. According to the complaint, Sarita (35) of Jawahar Colony lost her life after getting trapped in a machine on Wednesday evening.
Blaming the owner of the firm, they demanded his arrest and compensation for the family. The police said a probe had been launched. — TNS
