Costco drops medical exemption, will require all customers wear face coverings

Wholesaler Costco is dropping its medical exemptions and will now require all customers to wear face coverings in its stores, according to an announcement on the company’s website.In a letter to members, President and CEO Craig Jelinek wrote that entry will be granted only to those wearing a face mask or face shield.Costco’s previous policy, issued May 4, allowed an exemption from wearing a face covering for members who had medical conditions.The new policy goes into effect Nov. 16.
