Wichita State University is partnering with a consulting firm to create a “Smart Factory” that will create new processes for manufacturing products.

WSU is working with Deloitte, a London-based company that provides consulting, accounting, and professional services in more than 150 countries around the world.

The Smart Factory is under construction on WSU’s Innovation Campus.   He will have a full-scale production line, space for experiential labs to work on smart factory capabilities, and a production facility.   The facility will use new technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics and online services to create new systems for manufacturing.   The facility will demonstrate how technology can combine with new innovations to help companies in improving their manufacturing capabilities.
