Breakbulk shipping company Zeamarine Carrier GmbH, wholly-owned by Zeaborn shipping group, has sacked its Joint Managing Directors, Jan Hendrik Többe and Frank Fischer. It is understood that the company, which took over the multipurpose shipping activities of Rickmers Linie in 2017, is in choppy waters financially. The news of the sackings was broken by Hansa magazine. Többe has left the group, but Fischer will reportedly stay on as a member of the Management Board. Zeamarine had already been rocked by management changes. In October CFO Michael Dumas resigned and was replaced by Chad Call, while just a few days ago Dominik Stehle (left) quit as CCO, after just 11 months in post. Quite how serious is the situation at Zeamarine is not clear, but Sven Lundehn, a company reconstruction specialist who was involved in the liquidation of Beluga Shipping, has joined the management.
