Polish company Centrum Logistyczno Inwestycyjne Poznań II Sp. z o.o. (CLIP) is extending its intermodal container terminal in Jasin, near Poznan.

Kuenz has been awarded a contract for three new single girder intermodal cranes. These will feature its innovative aerodynamic structure with a round girder profile and crane control system for efficient container handling. A similar crane was delivered last year to CTVrede Steinweg BV for a terminal in the Netherlands.

The cranes will be able to stack containers one over four high, and be equipped with a piggyback spreader for 20 – 40 ft ISO container, trailer and swap body handling. The RMGs will have a lifting capacity of 40 tons under the spreader, a rail span of 50.9 m and dual cantilevers.

One of the cantilevers measures 19.5m and will be hinged, while the other is a fixed cantilever with a length of 17m. All motions are electrically driven. Delivery and commissioning are scheduled for 2021.
