Russia condemned U.S. airstrikes that killed a powerful Iranian commander in neighboring Iraq. Joe Biden claimed President Donald Trump just “tossed a stick of dynamite into a tinderbox.” Bernie Sanders exclaimed, “Trump’s dangerous escalation brings us closer to another disastrous war.” Pelosi, upset at not being consulted first, cried out,”Tonight’s airstrike risks provoking further dangerous escalation of violence.” It seems the majority of the democrats do note Qasem Soleimani was a very bad boy but killing him was “Beyond the Pale.”
The Washington Post called the embassy attack a “protest,” suggesting it was spontaneous. Reporters cry any Americans killed from now on are on Trump’s conscience not Iran’s conscience. Other papers claim the timing was bad and Soleimani should go his merry way continuing his killing spree in Iran’s interests. Soleimani has skipped from one Middle East hot spot to another fomenting trouble, killing Americans, innocent Christians and Muslims who are not part of the Shia branch of Islam.
What other actions did the Democrats want after the embassy attack? Send Iran pallets of money like Obama did without congressional approval? Just do nothing as done in the past? Call off the embargo, and help Iran become a nuclear power able to bomb Israel? Appease Russia and China who just held war games with Iran? Consult congress and United Nations first?
Are democrats willing to commit treason in their pursuit of Trump? In the meantime a North Korean dictator probably soiled his pants while looking up at the sky.
