Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Season 2 comes out next week with Armored Trucks, a Chemical Factory POI, Redeploy Balloons, and more new content.
Infinity Ward, Raven Software, and Activision Blizzard released Call of Duty: Warzone back in 2020 and the game continues to evolve from one season to the next. Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Season 2 is set to bring several changes to the Caldera map, including the addition of Armored Trucks for navigating the large map and a new point-of-interest.
The recently introduced Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific changed the map from Verdansk ’84, which was inspired by Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, to locations more akin to Call of Duty: Vanguard. The Warzone map changed near the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard and it brought with it World War 2-era locations, weapons, and vehicles. Armored transport was a common staple of the Verdansk map, and the addition of Armored Trucks with Season 2 will protect players better than the ATV or Rover as they traverse around Caldera.
The Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Season 2 update was made by developers at Raven Software, High Moon Studios, and Beenox, and it will include Axis Soldiers that will patrol areas around Caldera. These soldiers will protect themselves from players, and they provide powerful awards according to the developers. Fighter planes will no longer be the only way Call of Duty: Warzone fans make their way above the island as Activision Blizzard has also added Redeploy Balloons which will allow players to soar through the sky to the loot pool.
Call of Duty: Warzone will see a POI called Chemical Factory introduced with Pacific Season 2, and it’s intended to provide more options for players to rotate as the battle royale zone gets smaller. Although the developer has confirmed the new POI, it hasn’t unveiled any information about it or shown it off through a video, but it may share similarities with a previous Call of Duty. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 featured a battle royale called Blackout which had a location known as Factory which may end up having a comparable layout to Warzone‘s Chemical Factory.
Each new Call of Duty: Warzone season brings more content to both Warzone and Call of Duty: Vanguard through various ways such as the Battle Pass which also includes additional progression beyond leveling up weapons and overall rank. The Season 1 Battle Pass brought new weapons, skins, and weapon blueprints to Warzone, and it’s likely that the Season 2 Battle Pass will add similar content. While the Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 Battle Pass finished at the beginning of February, Season 2 is set to begin on February 14, and a new Battle Pass is expected near its release.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
