Why Are You Running For Office: At this time in my life I am able to contribute my time and talents to help make our community and state a better place for my fellow citizens and all of our children.

Identify The Most Pressing Issues Relevant To The Position You Are Seeking And How You Would Address Them: Economic Development includes both helping our current industry and businesses as well as attracting new enterprises. In recent years we have made major progress in improving our businesses environment and attracting significant new business. This has resulted in more job opportunities for our citizens and retaining our young people in West Virginia. We still have a lot of room for continued growth. The things we must do next can be grouped into five broad areas. 1. Reduce the political risk to our business community by having stable and predictable financial policies, as well as honest, efficient, and transparent government.2. Improve our infrastructure including communication/broadband, ample energy supply (both natural gas and electricity), and utilities (water, sewage treatment, etc.).3. Improve our work force availability by dealing with the drug problem more effectively, cross training for the jobs becoming available, improving our process for workforce re-entry, and expanding child care availability.4. Enhancing our community life to better help our current citizens and help attract new citizens. This includes improving the achievement of K thru 12 education, availability of healthcare services in all areas of the state, supporting our faith based and civic organization that provide volunteers and help throughout our communities, and encourage cultural and recreational activities for all age groups through our communities5. Supporting our cultural history – “Mountaineers are Always Free”. Our freedoms include our property rights, gun rights, resisting federal overreach, freedom to make our health choices, and to develop and protect our natural resources.

What Makes You Best Suited To Serve Your Constituents: I listen to my constituents, understand their problems and issues, and work toward the needed solutions.

What Separates You From Other Candidates: I am a good team player that can work with other legislators and get things done.

How Do You Plan To Work With People Who Have Different Views Than Your Own: I will listen to the views of others and consider their input, however in the end I must support the views and needs of the people that put me in office.
